BIO
I am Ana Rita, also known as Ana Ritovski, a Berlin-based visual artist. My artistic practice is shaped by my political interests, engaging with themes of social and ecological justice. I am deeply invested in the ways art can foster new forms of social entanglements and in creating experiences that prompt reflection on how we might reshape our relationship with natural environments. Through my work, I encourage audiences to consider their role within these systems and dynamics.
My practice is interdisciplinary, involving video, drawing, photography, installation, sound, and performance—a multi-layered approach to art-making. Recently, I’ve embraced the video synthesizer as a tool for creating real-time, generative visual experiences. Through my patching practice, I manipulate live visual elements that respond to sound, light, and motion in real time. This exploration allows me to create visual environments that interact with sound and blur the lines between the visual and the sonic. My interest in electronic music has been a guiding force in this development, leading me to collaborate with experimental music artists and DJs, synchronizing live visual elements in motion with sound frequencies
