Magnólia

The house of Monção was bequeathed by Maria Teresa de Salgueiro to the Minho University to become a cultural house an open museum. The most of the plantation in the garden was made by her, and the Magnolia tree is not an exception.
It was trough the gardening practices and the relation with Fernando, the gardener of this place, that Ana Rita and Luis reunited all the materials from the garden and with those they built a composter.
Where the presence of humus can fertilize the soil, the decomposition creates life. Magnólia becomes a source of nutritive culture, proposing a reflection between the cultural and natural space.
