Another World is Possible

Another World is Possible is a digital video project by Ana Ritovski that weaves together footage from environmental demonstrations—including Fridays for Future, Ende Gelände, No Future No Dance Floor—alongside material from Tres Horas de Peneira and the artist’s own video archive. Through layered composition, repetition, and rhythmic visual loops, the work captures the energy of collective resistance while pointing to the urgency of the environmental crisis. Protest becomes both subject and medium: bodies in motion, signs raised, and moments of pause are recontextualized to form a pulsating digital landscape. Rather than presenting a linear narrative, the project hints at fragmented realities and interconnected struggles. The looping structure evokes both the relentless cycles of crisis and the persistence of hope. In its form and content, Another World is Possible becomes a call—not just for awareness—but for transformation, solidarity, and imaginative futures. These digital works are printed on chiffon made from recycled plastic bottles.
