Nuno Marta created a volunteer project to rehabilitate a forest in Tomar, the Mata Nacional dos Sete Montes. His interest in restoring lost memories and reconnecting the community of Tomar with this natural site inspired him to invite Carolina Rito to curate an Art Walk. Ana Rita and Luis Simões worked on the ruins of a house that the monks from the Convent of Christ used as an olive oil press. These ruins, founded intertwined with wild nature and with a roof reduced to dust, sparked our curiosity as we sought to uncover their history. By cleaning and rehabilitating this oil press house, As paredes ganham vida brought up memories of this place that had been left forgotten.
